About Us : AVATAQ Cultural Institute have the fregional mandate to foster and promote INuit traditional knowledge to future generations (language, folklore, traditional medecine, food, etc.) Avataq Corporation inc. research in traditionasl use of both flora and fauna in the region by Inuit is well documented. This initiative builds on this knowledge and aims to reintroduce this information to the communities in a viable commercial environment that will both stimulate job creation and providing a new approach of securing economic benefit from the flora of the region. AVATAQ has developped Northern Delights, five herbal teas that are based on research of Inuit tradition aznd culture. Our teas are a true representation of herbal teas historically used by the Inuit of Nunavik. Their unique flavour and aroma will provide a unique experience of the richness of the northern flora and the culture of the Inuit.
