• About Us : KARART Closed Joint Stock Company was founded in 2003 and specializes in quarrying and processing of natural stone. Karart is also engaged in geological exploration works. The Company has already discovered stone deposits, which are absolutely unique and unknown to the majority of stone specialists. These stones are completely new to the market. KARART CJSC continuously develop and extend both factory and quarries. Our Company has geological exploration group, equipped with all the necessary equipment and instruments, which continuously investigate new stone deposits. Thanks to their surveys the variety of stone types expends every year. All stones quarried in our quarries pass strict control to meet radiation safety and hygienic norms. The personnel working at the quarries were trained in Michelangelo quarry in Carrara, Italy. The production complex is located in town Idjevan in the NorthEastern part of Armenia. We are using only Italian quarrying and processing machinery and equipment:(diamond wire saws, chain saws, drilling equipment, gang saws, block cutters, bridge cutters, calibrating and polishing lines, CNC machines etc. ) . Having all these machines and equipment we are able to produce the full range of highest quality stone products. To satisfy the growing demand and to maintain our well known quality in national and international markets, we have recently built the second industrial building. The Company owns railway branch at the station Ayrum (Tavush Region, Armenia) , with its separate loading and unloading platform, equipped with heavy duty crane and scales. There is also a sculptural workshop located on the territory of the complex, where the well known sculptors work together with new comers. In the future there will be a sculptors training center, which will enable to revive old traditions of town Idjevan, which had been glorious by its masters and where annual sculptors symposium had been held. We supply the local market, but we are mainly exporting our products. Here is the list of the countries we constantly work with: Russia, some European Countries, China, Korea, UAE, and US.
