• About Us : TASD has been founded in 1985 by the major industrialists of the sector as a non-profit organisation. The association has at present 200 members coming from 144 footFOOTWEAR INDUSTRIALISTS ASSOCIATION OF TURKEYar producing companies throughout the country. Today, TASD represents more than 90% of the Turkish footwear industry. Aims The aims of TASD are namely: **to enhance cooperation, mutual support and assistance among its members, **to increase the competitive power of the members in both national and international markets, **to inform the members about new economic and technological developments in order to enhance their industrial integration and to increase the efficiency of its members in the national economy. Activities The main activities developed by TASD are: publishing catalogues, magazines and periodicals, organizing panels, conferences and symposia consistent with its main objectives, organizing and participating in national and international fairs and exhibitions in order to introduce or develop new products and markets, cooperation with national and international organisations of the footwear related sector, with governmental institutions, carrying out social, technological and commercial training programmes for member companies. The Association sponsors the Turkish Shoe Fashion Fair AYMOD " Ayakkabi Moda Fuari" being held twice a year. At international level, the association organises member participation in fairs like GDS (Dusseldorf - Germany), Expo Riva (Garda - Italy), MosShoes and Obuv Mir Kozhi (Moscow - Russia).
