Organization International de Metrology Legal (OIML), the apex body of Weights & Measures in the world, have issued an International Recommendation No: R 111-1 Edition 2004(E), which specifies the following accuracy classes for weights, viz M3 M2 Ml F2 Fl E2 & ElThe weights of accuracy class M arc for use in commercial transactions i.e., M3 for low value items, M2 for medium value items like food- grains, groceries etc, where as M1 class weights are used for high value items like jewellery, precious stones and other valuable metals. The weights of F2. FL E2,and El belong to higher accuracy class and are used in various laboratories according to their grades, for verification of weighing equipments, Research & development and allied applications.In response to demand for weights to suit all levels of applications, we have undertaken to manufacture these precision weights in all accuracy classes, in our unit which was inaugurated by Mr. G. J. Fabcr, President, International Committee of Legal Metrology on 25 Feb, 1999. in the presence of many eminent Metrologists from India and abroad.Our manufacturing range for these precision weights now covers all the denominations from 1 mg to 50kg for M2 to E2 class and 1 mg to 10kg in E1 class, which is the highest accuracy class of weights in the world. It is a matter of great pleasure to inform the valued patrons that our calibration laboratory has been accredited by Hie National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
