• About Us : A r a w a k publications (AP) is located in Kingston Jamaica, and joined the growing number of publishing houses in the Caribbean in 2001 as an independent publisher. AP has a mainly regional publishing programme with a focus on supplementary educational material for children and adults. Titles examine and discuss A r a w a k publications Caribbean experiences and cultures, and some of the subject areas are: history, politics, economics, ethnic studies, biographies / personal accounts, project management, hospitality management & tourism, linguistics, religious history, intellectual thought, music & other cultural heritage, geography, media studies. Publications target per year is 10 titles--in addition to which AP publishes two peer reviewed journals in social work and in the humanities / social science. AP will be expanding its sales and distribution programme at end 2007 to include market sectors in the Spanish Caribbean, in Spanish-speaking America and Africa. AP is the exclusive distributor of Zed Books in the Caribbean and the Atlantic Rim territories. Our children's stories reflect our myths and legends, historical adventure, language acquisition & other workbooks, and themes such as family mores and self-empowerment.
