We have now established a branch in East New Britain Province. The company was incorporated in 2009.The move to East New Britain Province required us to carry out a survey to establish the Island Provinces Farmers Supply-Chain. From this survey, we have now established a network of suppliers from the cocoa producing provinces of North Solomon and New Ireland. Our projected tonnage for the first year is 3600 MT. We plan to ship the 300 MT or 20 containers of 15 MT of cocoa per container each month. The supply-chain and network program we have established in East New Britain Province and other Island Provinces is ready for implementation. We are willing to negotiate the FOB price between US $2300 and US $2573 per tonne. The fermented dry cocoa beans are packaged in the Jute bags. The bag size is 1. 2cm x 70 cm. Each bag with the content of cocoa beans weighs 63. 5 KG. This total weight includes the 1 KG empty bag (1kg bag + 62. 5kg = 63. 5 KG. The moisture content is between 4. 5% to 8% level. The 15 MT or 240 bags of cocoa beans are packed in a 20 ft container. We carry out a thorough quality check on all containerized bags and implement continuous improvement throughout the process of our export activities. Our preference of payment is by Letter of Credit. We anticipate an increase in supply of dry beans in the 2 nd year from the Integrated Pest & Disease Management (IPDM) farmers who will have increased their production by 100% as per our business plan. We strongly believe that the use of IPDM Technology is a unique approach to increasing production and sales. The founder of this Technology, Dr. John Konam who was a former employee of PNG Cocoa & Coconut Institute (CCI PNG) is now working with the South Pacific Commission based in Fiji.
