To achieve these improvement initiatives the engineer identified 3 key Design requirement principles that would need to be at the heart of the conceptual design.They were QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT and SAFETY.Hence we now have a high QUALITY product that is not used only once but can be used year-in, year-out. We then also have a unique candle or lamp that does not emit any carbon into our ENVIRONMENT, normally emitted through the traditional diya open flame candles, lamps.And everyone celebrates within a SAFE environment where no-one gets burnt or personal effects damaged by burning open flame candles and lamps.And still with a product that is true to all Hindu values, beliefs and spiritual beliefs.If a DiyaWali can stop 1 burn injury to one person then we believe our product has been a great investment for that family.A DiyaWali is a battery operated Diya Lamp designed and developed to have the same features and characteristics of a traditional Diya Lamp, however driven by an extended-life battery and not an open flame.A DiyaWali is the perfect product for all gift merchants and obviously diya merchants. A traditional Diya can be defined as a small earthen lamp that is specially lit on Diwali for decoration and spiritual purposes. It is envisaged that in some households and festivals these new DiyaWalis will replace the traditional open flame lighting of the earthen lamps. However the initial goal and objective is to offer a product that provides all Diwali celebration revellers a choice where they can now switch-on their Diya lamps and provide the light to mark the start of the festival BUT in a safer, secure environment but still staying true to their traditional values, beliefs and spiritual beliefs
