It supplies high quality iron ore (hematite) lumps to pig iron mills in Minas Gerais State. In 2007 it was purchased by a new owner and it is going through a revitalization process to match the current demands of the global market. In order to increase the production its ore processing plant has been renewed and a second plant should start working in the second quarter of 2009. All over these years, the fines produced in our site has been stocked and its volume is counted in millions of tonnes now. But time has come when it is worth of re-processing this material to attend the increasing demand. Then a concentration plant is being planned and it should be ready in a very near future.
