• About Us : Bodega San Jose was founded in 1952, in the town of Corella in Navarra (Spain) and since then has been protected by the Navarra Denomination of Origin, under which the different trademarks of the wines it makes has been marketed. Within this Designation of Origin, it belongs to the sub-area known as the Ribera Baja de Navarra, noted by its excellent roses wines and very renown for the fine red wines made there. Its wines are very Winery San Josell-known for their color, the result of certain climatic conditions which favor the perfect ripening of its grapes, the pleasant temperature and the plentiful sun that this area enjoys. Bodega San Jose is a cooperative made up of over 200 wine producers, linked by the vineyard growing tradition and owners of over 300 hectares of land. Their fields have excellent vineyards in which the quality of the old wine is maintained, such as the authentic Garnacha grapes from Navarra which are essential for making a good rose wine. Moreover they have gradually evolved towards modern trends in current viticulture. They have thus undergone the transformation of their vineyards, creating new plantations for upgrading varieties such as Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo and Merlot. The harvesting of all the varieties is made separately and each one at its optimum moment after having undergone exhaustive ripening control. Like the vineyards, the passing of time has also been reflected in the cellars in terms of modern techniques for wine making and working, yet always maintaining the authenticity of its wines. Bodega San Jose has commited to new wine making technology and that is why it has invested several million euro in fitting stainless steel self-emptying tanks that are equipped with all accessories necessary to favor its wine making, as well as two pneumatic presses and a cooling equipment with which to ferment the wines at controlled temperature in order to extract the best aromas.
