The group first started with a small manufacturing plant in Istanbul, then moved to its current location in Orhangazi in 1976. Ormo currently has fully integrated textiles plant that has scOrmo Tekstil Iplik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S.ing, combing, dying, spinning, balling, finishing, water purification and treatment facilities. ORMO GROUP currently operates Ormo, Ormo Textile and Nako with over 1000 employees in total. The group s main focus is on production and distribution of woollen, semi worsted and worsted machine and hand knitting and woollen carpet yarns. The distribution reaches over 50 different countries around the world including USA, all Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Brasil, Russia, Africa and Middle Eastern countries. ORMO GROUP is fully integrated textile plant and our capacity is currently 1000-1250 tons per years in woollen and 6500-7000 tons in worsted / semi-worsted yarn. The factory has 80. 000 sq. Meters closed area on 160. 000 sq meters with over 1000 employees. Approximately 50% of the employees have minimum high school degree. We have awarded ISO 9001-2000 quality certification. Twice a year we participate in Pitti-Filati Florance, Italy to present our Autumn, Winter, Summer and Spring collections. We also have started participating Spinexpo-Shangai, China as of 2004 to present our collection to the Asian Market.
