• About Us : HALKALI KAGIT, that is one of the first private companies of the paper industry, was founded by Mr. Orhan SARAL, in an area of 6000 m2 in Halkali - Istanbul in 1976.The projects of the cardboard machine, that started to operate with a capacity of 4.500 tons/year, Halkali Kagit Karton San. ve Tic. A.S.re realised by Mr. Orhan SARAL, who had been one of the founders of ORMUBAN KAGIT.PM1 was commissioned for the production of grey cardboard and its capacity was increased to 4.500 tons/year by means of upgrade and revamping. The machine yielding products in three different categories (namely: sheet cardboard, bonded cardboard and reel) is still one of the leading machines of Turkey in its field. PM1 started production with a grey cardboard capacity of 4.500 tons/year in 1976. Its current annual capacity is 24.000 tons/year and it is expected to reach an output of 26.000 tons/year as a result of an upgrade scheduled to be completed in the beginning of 2008.PM2 was put into operation for Fluting and Testliner products in 1995, with a capacity of 15.000 tons/year, and its capacity was increased to 90.000 tons/year by means of revamping activities. With the investments which are in progress under the coordination of Vaahto, that is a major machine producer of Finland, the production capacity is scheduled to increase to 90.000 tons/year and also test liner will be added to production line. Thus, final output of two machines will reach 116.000 tons/year.Our company operates in an area of 50.000 m2 including an indoor area of 14.000 m2. An auto-producing power plant with a capacity of 5066 kW/h was commissioned in April 2002 and it provides the whole power and part of steam need of the Company.Having a good reputation Halkali Kagit has a strong financial structure and increased its total paid-in capital to 16 million TL. It currently employs a staff of 160.Halkali Kagit is an outstanding world wide company in terms of its modern biological treatment facilities and other environmental arrangement. It is remarkably stated that Halkali Kagit only uses 100% waste paper into production.
