• About Us : Omnium was established in 1993 by John Sices, who remains the principle owner. At that time, Sices had been working with a company called Praxis Technologies for several years developing, manufacturing and marketing a line of specialty, anti-corrosion coating products for industrial applications. There came a point in the relationship with Praxis to separate responsibilities so that each partner could focus on specific responsibilities. Praxis wanted to market and sell the finished coatings and was not interested in manufacturing, while Omnium focused on sOmnium International, Inc.cing the raw materials and manufacturing, packaging and inventory of the coating products. This divergence also allowed Omnium to pursue unrelated opportunities, as well as Praxis marketing products from other sources without conflict. Subsequently, Omnium began pursuing opportunities of custom making other coatings as well as the distribution of off-spec products and other related chemicals. One of the successful recent ventures has been the development and manufacturing of a marine ballast tank coating. By utilizing a development lab and toll manufacturer, we successfully developed a finished coating that has been successfully marketed over the past several years to ship owners worldwide. The product, the manufacturing facility, the production process and the quality control procedures have each been inspected and certified by a world renowned agency. Sices background includes working in a variety of technical service, sales and sales management positions with well known fortune 500 companies (Witco Chemical and Drew Division-Ashland Chemical) , and smaller privately held companies (King Industries) . Since mid-2004, Omnium has an ongoing agreement in place to represent Paris-based specialty chemical manufacturer, PCAS selling all products from their industrial specialties chemicals group in North America, China, Japan and Korea. Omnium may also pursue sales of the PCAS anti corrosion products worldwide, as well as act as an importing distributor. Omnium is the authorized North American Distributor for OKS, and Avia / Hermann Bantleon. Omnium has established and identified contacts with sales, marketing and distribution capabilities, as well as unique suppliers worldwide, emphasizing Europe, Japan, China and Korea, Australia, India, the Middle East and of course, North America for a wide variety of specialty chemical needs.
