They are end-notched in windows and door openings. We pre-cut them for any floor-plan. The logs are all fastened together with completely threaded thru-bolts. Thru-bolts can be tightened as the logs settle, allowing all the logs to settle evenly.We place two strips of foam tape between each row of logs, and a foam gasket between each saddle. We cut our logs from live trees. You get a fresh, clean, white logs. We use Eastern White Pine. The log poles can be milled or hand-peeled. We also offer 2" X 6" tongue and groove and ridged foam for roof insulation. Local lumberyards or home centers can supply you with the rest of the materials you would need.They can usually deliver the materials to your job site for considerably less money than from a Log Home company.We also offer matching siding for gable ends and dormers, as well as the following log components:Log railings Log poles for loft floor joists Log wall ties Ridge poles Log rafters Log purlins Porch posts Porch headers Porch rafters Log stairs Log trusses Square timbers
