The corporation was founded by a senior healthcare manager in 1995, who recognised the need for a product or system to aid care staff in the prevention of falls amongst high dependency patients exhibiting a communication deficiency, mobility issues and/or dementia. In April 2004, SensorCare Systems was acquired by a larger parent company; TP Matrix, specialists in Electronics design, manufacture and service, providing SensorCare with the resSensorCare Systems Ltdces and systems necessary to best serve this expanding domestic and international market need. We are based in Oldham, Lancashire and employ 40 highly dedicated staff. SensorCare falls prevention systems are used in hospitals, community services, nursing homes and domestic homes nationwide. We are currently expanding our market to include Europe. The SensorCare Falls Prevention System is designed to assist the nurse or carer to ensure the safety of those at risk of falling, without the need for constant one to one vigilance. It provides an early warning that mobilisation is being initiated enabling the nurse or carer to provide assistance, thereby reducing the risk of a fall and subsequent injury. The system is easy to use and provides the carer temporary respite and the confidence and freedom to carry on with their daily routines.
