• About Us : THE VINEYARDLa Cepa Alta directly controls over 60 Hectares of vineyard, of which 50 Hectares belong to us and are distributed in five own-production plots in the Ribera de Duero Designation of Origin. The unique characteristics of Bodegas La Cepa Alta S.L grapes are the result of the sandy-clay and slightly chalky soil in which they grow and the abundant sunlight they receive. The basic grape variety grown here, Tempranillo, is typical of this area. We also have plots with Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot varieties. THE WINERYSurrounded by vineyards, the winery production plant contains stainless steel vats and an ageing area where temperature and humidity are carefully controlled. This is where our wines are aged in American and French oak barrels. The plant combines tradition with modernity and complies with European requirements, the ISO 9001 Quality Standard and the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard. THE WINESProduced on our premises from our own grapes, we control the entire process, from ripening the fruit to selling the bottled wine.
