Since 1997 Al Qatari Fruits has been operating another branch called Al Mashriq Fresh Fruit. In 2003, Al Mashriq Fresh Fruit was purchased by Mohammed Abdulla Sharbatly Trading Co. for the next 5 years Al Mashriq Fresh Fruit remained under the management of Al Qatari Fruits. Since its establishment Al Qatari Fruits has acted as an intermediary, this has given them the opportunity to establish a personal relationship with exporters, growers and buyers and has allowed them to increase the number of clients they have. Currently, in 2009, Al Qatari Fruits are regarded as being a front runner in the market and have been doing business all over the world. With fruits and vegetables being imported from Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Australia they have been able to give the growers the best prices and the buyers the highest quality fruits and vegetables at the lowest possible prices.
